B:LIVE CYCLE HUBS

An initiative of the Goa tourism development corporation, the B-live brand brief was “Experiences”, “With no fuel’ ‘Electric’ and ‘Fun’. It was a collaborative design exercise involving brand makers, graphic artists, industrial designers and us as architects working alongside.
The idea behind the hub was to use separate 10’ containers for separate activities like the ticketing office, cycle storage, cafeteria, kitchen and toilets and cluster them together rather than make a single large unit. Depending on the site and the size of the station these modules can be multiplied, arranged or stacked on top of each other.
The smallest module of the container 8’x8’x10’, being almost a cube gave it a very sculptural quality and made it easier for ventilation, transportation and arrangement. Each of the program was designed and detailed differently within this module and prototyped.
